Tax workshop offered, Co-op plans annual meeting, Coho out of service and more.

Change your life in 100 days

Sequim Gym announces the launch of its new, intensive workshop, “100 People in 100 Days.” The 100-day workshop offers six small-group workshops, lectures, discounts on personal training, weekly check-ins as participants need them, discounts on a gym membership (if desired), and journals to track their results. The official kick off is on Jan. 23, with an all-day conference for participants. Fees apply for the workshop. For more information, call 681-2555, or stop by the gym from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Also Sequim Gym offers a free demo class with Matt Philips who will be speaking about self-defense at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at 160 E. Bell St. This class is going to discuss self-defense using techniques needed in a real-life situation. Class is open to the public.

Peden joins Hair Trix

Hair Trix, 21 Valley Center Place, Carlsborg, has a new stylist, Brittney Peden, who works 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Peden also is available for weddings or special occasions by appointment, offering coloring, haircuts and perms. She is offering $10 off on haircuts through the end of January. Dept. of Revenue offers free tax workshop

Business owners in Washington are responsible for knowing which taxes to report. To help them, the Washington State Department of Revenue will host a series of free workshops for new and small business owners throughout the state during 2016. One will be from 9 a.m.-noon  Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Clallam Transit System, 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. To explore the tax workshop schedule, visit dor.wa.gov/Workshops. Co-op plans annual meeting

The Co-op Farm & Garden True Value invites all stock-holder members to the 81st Annual Meeting. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at The Co-op Farm & Garden store, 216 E. Washington St., Sequim. The agenda includes the election of two board members and reports from the accounting firm Leffel, Otis and Warwick P.S., certified public accountants. The Co-op management team will provide updates about the store. Attendees will have a chance to win Co-op Farm & Garden Gift Cards worth up to $50. Refreshments will be served.

Meet for meditation

Come to Fit4Life Studio to celebrate the new year with five free hour-long meditation sessions that will help you let go of the past, quiet your mind and light up your positive energy. Free pain management talk set

Coho out of service for 8 weeks

Black Ball Ferry Line’s M.V. Coho will be out of service from Jan. 4-Feb. 28 during the construction of a new wharf at Black Ball’s Victoria, B.C., terminal. Regular service will resume on Feb. 29 when the M.V. Coho departs Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m. and Victoria at 10:30 a.m.

The construction at the Victoria terminal includes work to replace the wharf and complete construction of a new vehicle loading ramp and covered passenger walkway. In Port Angeles, Black Ball Ferry Line will be completing upgrades to the mooring dolphins while the vessel is in its extended dry dock period.

Black Ball Ferry Line is a major cross-border link for tourism and trade between British Columbia and Washington. More than 400,000 passengers and 127,000 vehicles travel each year on the M.V. Coho between Victoria and Port Angeles. See CohoFerry.com.
