Stardust salutes Feibus on 80th birthday

The Stardust Big Band will be hosting a special 80th birthday party for former director Sanford Feibus at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the James Center for the Performing Arts in Sequim. The event is a potluck and chairs and picnic blankets are suggested.

Grange features Ellard

Buck Ellard is performing from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at the Sequim Prairie Grange Hall. Cost is $10 per person or $15 a couple. Food will be provided. The Grange Hall is at 290 Macleay Road, Sequim.

Dance theater premiers at PC

Northwest choreographer, performance artist and current faculty member at Walla Walla Community College, Vicki Lloid has combined professional and student dancers, actors and musicians with the poetry of Tess Gallagher and Raymond Carver for an evening-length dance theater performance titled “Lemonade” after Carver’s poem of the same name. The performers will give a Studium Generale presentation from 12:35-1:25 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in the Little Theater at Peninsula College and the main dance performance the same day at 7 p.m. at the college’s Maier Performance Hall.

Trio on tap

Monday Musicale will meet in the Queen of Angels fellowship hall, 209 W. 11th St., Port Angeles, at noon Monday, June 20. Following the meeting will be entertainment at 1 p.m., which is open to the public. The Deka Piano Trio with Marlene Moore, cellist; Penny Linterman, violinist; and Gary McRoberts, pianist; will play a variety of classical music and a new arrangement for the first time.
