Sequim Arts meets, ballroom dancing begins, driftwood show on tap and more.

Sequim Arts features jeweler at meeting

Sequim Arts will have its next meeting at 9:30 a.m. April 23 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Parish Hall, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. Randolf Foster will be featured with his original jewelry. Foster will speak at 10:45 a.m.

Ballroom dancing classes begin at grange

The last ballroom dance classes with the North Olympic Ballroom Dance Consortium (Michael and Darlene Clemens, Steve and Ann Johnson and Carol Hathaway) will begin on April 28 at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 MacLeay Road, Sequim. The Clemenses will teach Night Club Two-Step from 7-8 p.m., and Advanced West Cost Swing from 8-9 p.m. Students attending the Advanced WCS class will need a working knowledge of the basic patterns and some variations. Driftwood show on tap

The Peninsula Driftwood Artists will have its 46th annual show, with artist demonstrations and a raffle, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in Pioneer Park in Sequim. There is free admission to the show.

Straleys introduced at Studium Generale

Peninsula College’s Studium Generale presents a prequel to the 2015 Writers in Residence, as members of the college’s English and science faculty present an introduction to this year’s Writers in Residence, John and Jan Straley.

Studium Generale is free and open to the public, and held from 12:35-1:25 p.m. at the college’s Little Theater on the main Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd. E-mail Kate Reavey at kreavey@pencol.edu.
