Local artists unite with their vision of tying art into the Olympic Peninsula’s natural features at the fifth annual Art in the Park at the Dungeness River Audubon Center at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.

The event features 30 artists in watercolor, photography, basketry and driftwood sculptures displaying their work in a non-juried exhibit Wednesday-Sunday, Aug. 1-5.

The event is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. This year, Art in the Park joins the First Friday Art Walk on Aug. 3 and stays open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Artist and writer Denny van Horn will carve cedar feathers for the nighttime event.

Demonstrations continue into Saturday and Sunday with watercolor booths and “make and take” craft projects for hands-on activities for all ages.

All art work is for sale with 25 percent benefiting the Dungeness River Audubon Center. Visitors are invited to vote for the “People’s Choice Award.”

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Railroad Bridge Park with a celebration set for 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.
