Greywolf Elementary, 171 Carlsborg Road, presents “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” a 30-minute musical based on the play at 1 p.m. for students and 6:30 p.m. for parents and community members on Monday, June 11.

Fifth-graders Riley Scott and Tanner Robbins play Willy Wonka and Charlie Buckett with nearly 30 students in grades 3-5 taking on roles like the well-known Oompla Loompas.

Students use costumes from Sequim High School’s drama department.

Songs include “The Candy Man,” “Golden Age of Chocolate,” “(I’ve Got a) Golden Ticket,” and more.

This is the fifth production of Greywolf’s Drama Club and its most ambitious one yet, co-organizer Sheri Burke said.

“It’s grown every year so much that we’ve had to limit the amount of students who could participate,” she said.

Greywolf PTA paid for rights to the play and production practice started two months ago.

The production is run by teachers Stephanie Clark, Shannon Green, Renee Mullikin and Burke.

Admission is free. Contact the school at 582-3300.
