Milestone: Olympic Community of Health’s Prystowsky gets ‘Health Innovator’ award

Dr. Elya Prystowsky, executive director for the Olympic Community of Health (OCH), received the Health Innovator of the Year Award for Collaboration on Dec. 6 in Seattle. The award is sponsored by Health Innovation NW, a nonprofit that “strives to create and cement connections within the Seattle-area health community,” and Cambria Grove, a shared workspace in Seattle designed to encourage health care innovation.

Olympic Community of Health is an Accountable Community of Health, one of nine in Washington state, serving Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties. The OCH Board of Directors consists of leaders from tribal nations and health sectors within the region. Learn more about OCH at www.olympicch.org.

Prystowsky received the award in recognition of her work with OCH and its partners toward launching the Health Commons Project, a technology platform that connects health and social service agencies, allowing them to share the information needed to coordinate and track care as an integrated team.
