NOLS’ January Book Discussion Groups

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) has released details about its Book Discussion Groups for January. The library system hosts three Book Discussion Group meetings monthly.

Here is the schedule for January, and the books that will be discussed:

Second Saturday Book Discussion Group: This in-group meeting will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Sequim Library Temporary Location, 609 W. Washington St. The book that will be discussed is “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett. Paperback copies are available at the Sequim location.

Second Wednesday Book Discussion Group: “The Garden of Evening Mists” by Tan Twan Eng is the book that will be discussed via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. Paperback copies of the book are available at the Port Angeles and Sequim libraries.

Fourth Wednesday Book Discussion Group: Another in-person gathering, this one to take place on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. The book is “A Sudden Light” by Garth Stein. Paperback copies are available at that location.

Copies of the selected books may be available to borrow in other formats such as large print, audiobook and eBook through the NOLS catalog. ­
