The Old Dungeness School House is once again the site for a CD release concert. This time, it’s the Old Sidekicks’ release of “Still Here,” — 19 songs with genres ranging from classic country to bluegrass, folk and gospel.

The concert is scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

A $15 ticket gets adults a seat and a signed CD! Children 16 and younger are admitted for $5 (but no CD).

Returning the favor when the Old Sidekicks opened for their CD release, Jim Faddis and Cort Armstrong of Farmstrong perform a few of their tunes before the Old Sidekicks take the stage at the Old Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road.

Like Farmstrong’s “Live in Dungeness: The Summer Sessions” CD, the Old Sidekick’s “Still Here” was recorded and mastered by Bill Yates of the Dungeness Community Studio; Anna Yates crafted the album’s artwork.

The star of the Old Sidekicks’show is 85-year-old W.L. Martin, who slaps the bass and jumps around like a teen, or trades the bass for a guitar when he sings lead. Mellow-voiced Vern Sprague plays the banjo and dobro while Bill Camuso plays mandolin, fiddle, and guitar and sings country and gospel.  Jack Reagan plays rhythm guitar and sometimes bass, and Steve Sahnow plays harmonica.

Reserving seats in advance is advised, so call either 683-9566 or 504-2440 to guarantee a seat. Admission may be purchased at the door, but maximum capacity is 100.
