Pine Hearts eye P.A. stage

Olympia bluegrass band The Pine Hearts will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., during the library’s quarterly Art Blast — a free reception celebrating the opening of the spring “Art in the Library” show.

Olympia bluegrass band The Pine Hearts will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., during the library’s quarterly Art Blast — a free reception celebrating the opening of the spring “Art in the Library” show. Refreshments will be served and limited library services will be available during this special after-hours event. The Pine Hearts recorded their latest album, “Winter on Orcas,” using a four-track audio cassette recorder on Orcas Island. The spring show features art from Jennifer Bright, Deidre Gonzales, Tammy Hall, Carole Knutson, Dani LaBlond, Judy Larimore, Richard Stephens, Melanie Salazar, Bill Wood and students from Forks and Port Angeles.
