Sequim boating group sets 2021 online courses

The America’s Boating Club of the North Olympic Peninsula (ABC of NOP) invites the community to join members for a wide variety of courses from the safety of one’s home, starting in early 2021.

The following classes are taught via virtual classrooms by a team of experienced volunteers “committed to safe and enjoyable boating in our beautiful Northwest waters,” club members say.

• Boat Handling

Starts: Thursday, Jan. 7

Time/day(s): 10 a.m.-noon, Thursdays

Course length: 8-9 weeks

Cost: $70 member, $140 non-member

• Piloting

Starts: Monday, Jan. 11

Time/day(s): 7-9 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays

Course length: 4-5 weeks

Cost: $80 member, $160 non-member

• Advanced Piloting

Starts: Monday, March 8
