Sequim’s Irrigation Festival royalty continue to make the summer rounds with recent trips to Seattle.

The four-person court and support staff participated in the Seafair Torchlight Parade on July 30 and the West Seattle Grand Parade on July 23, where they took home second place overall, and first place for self-propelled float.

Throughout the summer, the float and royalty won numerous awards, including: the Ambassador’s award at the Tacoma Daffodil Festival; the Governor’s award at the Shelton/Mason County Forest Festival; the Shortcake award at the Marysville Strawberry Festival; the Spirit and Princess awards at Port Orchard’s Fathoms O’ Fun; and, second place at the Forks Old-Fashioned Fourth of July.

Sequim held its 127th festival the first two weekends of may with the tagline “Our Little Piece of Heaven.” For more information about the 2023 event, visit irrigationfestival.com.
