Fourteen years and humming along nicely.

The peninsula’s annual Snowgrass bluegrass festival is back in 2016, with four local bands set to bring their stylings to Port Angeles High School’s Auditorium on Saturday, Jan. 23.

The lineup includes Farmstrong of Dungeness, the Flying Strings of Port Angeles, Tony Flagg’s Trio of Joyce and  Forks favorite Crescent Blue.

Doors open at 6 p.m. sharp, with music firing up at about 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door the night of the event. No matter when tickets are obtained, seniors get in for $9 and youths 10 and younger get in free.

Get tickets at Co-op Farm & Garden in Sequim, Port Book and News in Port Angeles and Forks Outfitters. Or get tickets online at FirstStepFamily.org or www.brownpapertickets.com.

The event is a benefit as well, with sponsors Johnson, Rutz & Tassie and Sound Community Bank making it possible that all ticket proceeds go directly to First Step Family Support Center.

First Step, a United Way agency, promotes healthy development of children and families, and aims to ensure children in Clallam County grow up feeling loved, safe and cared for.
