‘The Mikado’ comes to Dungeness Schoolhouse

Threatened executions, hopeful weddings and some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s finest songs are in the air this summer as Readers Theatre Plus, Peninsula Singers and the MAC present “The Mikado” on June 21-30 at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, in Sequim.

 

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, June 21-22, and June 28-29; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, and June 30.

 

Tickets are available at Pacific Mist Books in Sequim and Odyssey Books in Port Angeles.

 

Accompanist for “The Mikado” is Pat Marcy. The cast includes Ric Munhall, Trent Pomeroy, Joel Yelland, John Silver, Carl Honore, Susan Roe, Bonnie Christianson, Valerie Lape, Linda Grubb, Marilyn Carlson, Ronald Corrado, Dorothy Hensey, Karla Messerschmidt-Morgan, Milton Patrie, Elizabeth Perez, Karen Pritchard, Arie Vlaadingerbroek and Carole Welk.

 

Concurrent with “The Mikado,” Readers Theatre Plus hosts its silent auction. Following the final performance on June 30, the Dewey Awards will be presented for excellence in the past year’s productions.
