Persuasive, passionate and poignant short video and animation productions by Peninsula College students will be the order of the day at the Second Annual Peninsula College Moving Pictures Festival.

The event will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4, in Maier Performance Hall and will feature works by students earning a Digital Video Certificate.

Exploring documentary styles, filmmaking, directing and production management, P.C.’s Digital Video courses provide students with beginning and advanced digital video skills while learning to plan, film, edit and stream short digital videos on the Internet. They produce documentary shorts that capture a story to achieve informational or emotional ends and share their work as part of the Peninsula College Spring Arts Week and Magic of Cinema events.

Many filmmakers have earned or are earning the Short-Term Certificate in Digital Video at Peninsula College. Multimedia Communications program coordinator and instructor Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond will host a Q & A with the students and discuss the Digital Video courses offered at P.C.

From arts in STEM Education to zombies taking over the campus, enjoy video submissions from  Eduardo Barragan, Rachel Brown, Kate Crippen, Joseph Crollard, Ron Daylo, Makayla Descala, Christopher Enges, C.
