Lifeline Emblems symbolize support and solidarity while promoting suicide prevention and crisis support within the community. When Washington residents purchase a 988 Lifeline Suicide Prevention Emblem, they are not only showing their support but also contributing to a special fund. This fund provides community-based grants to organizations dedicated to suicide prevention through peer support for transitioning veterans, military members, and their families.
Go to your Vehicle Licensing Office to purchase a Lifeline Emblem for $18. It is easy! There is one on my car. Many thanks to all the people in Sequim who responded to Deborah’s emails to help with canned food for the pantry at the Veterans Center and the pantries at Minsky Place, Hobucket House and Sarge’s Place Shelter. I was overwhelmed with emotion at the generosity of my fellow citizens. We have struggled to get donations to feed the veterans and this was beyond my greatest hope. Thank you Paula, Charlotte, Pat, Margo, Sandy, Elaine, Lauren, Melody, Kathy S., Laurie and many others who didn’t leave their names. What a wonderful gift to the veterans.
