2 arrested for burglary at Flipper’s

Two Sequim men were arrested early Thursday, Sept. 10, for stealing more than $400 from a Carlsborg restaurant and causing an estimated $500 damage.

Two Sequim men were arrested early Thursday, Sept. 10, for stealing more than $400 from a Carlsborg restaurant and causing an estimated $500 damage.

Christopher Haltom, 28, and Clifford Hanning, 23, were arrested and booked into the Clallam County jail on charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.

A small amount of the stolen $400 was recovered. Estimated damage to doors and windows was $500.

Two men were spotted at 11 p.m. Wednesday breaking into a rear window of Flipper’s Restaurant, 261491 Highway 101, but they fled before deputies arrived.

Their vehicle was located at a Sequim apartment complex. After the car was searched, Haltom and Hanning were arrested with assistance from the Sequim Police Department.
