2021 election: Primary ballots to be mailed mid-July

The election season is upon Clallam County, with a series of key election dates coming up this and weeks ahead as candidates and the public prep for the Aug. 3 primary.

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, the county elections department hosts a logic and accuracy test of its ballot tabulation system in the elections center, located in Room 072 (basement) of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. The testing is open to the public.

Ballots for the 2021 primary election will be mailed to all qualified voters in Clallam County on Wednesday, July 14. A sample ballot will be posted at clallam.net/elections.

Primary election day is Tuesday, Aug. 3. Shortly after 8 p.m. results will be available in the courthouse Lobby and online at clallam.net/elections.

At 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, the Canvassing Board will meet for pre- certification of the primary election, in the elections center; this is open to the public. At 2 p.m. the following day in the elections center, the Canvassing Board meets to certify the primary election; this too is open to the public.
