A 21-year-old Sequim resident was hospitalized after a rollover on Sunday, July 13.

A 21-year-old Sequim resident was hospitalized after a rollover on Sunday, July 13.

At about 4:40 p.m. that day, deputies from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of River Road and Happy Valley Road for a rollover motor vehicle accident. Deputies found Aldo Garcia of Sequim inside of his vehicle, suffering from injuries sustained from the incident.

According to the sheriff’s office, Garcia was traveling northbound on River Road and failed to negotiate the corner prior to the intersection of River Road and Happy Valley Road. He overcorrected his vehicle, causing his 1998 Ford Explorer to roll over several times.

Medical personnel from Olympic Ambulance and Clallam County Fire District 3 attended to and transported Garcia to Olympic Medical Center where he was flown to Harborview Medical Center. As of Monday, July 14, he was listed in critical condition.

The case is under investigation by the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office traffic unit.
