Another Grad Walk to remember

Sequim High School seniors circled the track in Stáʔčəŋ Stadium (a S’Klallam word pronounced “stah-chung” and meaning “wolf”) the morning of their graduation on June 6 to high-five or fist-bump fellow students and staff for the annual SHS Grad Walk.

Area schools in Sequim School District walked to the track or bused over, including Greywolf Elementary School students from Carlsborg, to cheer and hold signs for the senior class of about 175 students. While celebrating the seniors, the event serves as encouragement for younger students to stay in school, organizers have said previously.

Sequim School District’s last day for classes is June 12.
