Congressman Derek Kilmer available for one-on-one discussions during ‘Conversations with Kilmer Tour’

U.S. Rep. Derek Kilmer (6th District) announced Aug. 14 a tour of the region with a series of public events and office hours where he will be available to meet one-on-one with constituents.

Called the "Conversations with Kilmer Tour," the tour is part of Kilmer’s ongoing efforts to hear directly from the people he represents. The "Conversations with Kilmer Tour" follows a listening tour in January, a series of community town halls in May, two telephone town halls, a Twitter town hall and numerous meetings with constituents.

Over the next two weeks, Kilmer is available to discuss issues with constituents during his office hours at locations throughout the district, at farmers markets, at "Kilmer on Your Dock" events at ferry terminals and during other public events.

“In order to be accountable to the people I represent, I’ve made an effort to regularly hold town halls and public events,” Kilmer said in a press release. “In addition to public forums, it’s important for folks to have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with their representative, so I hope everyone will have the chance to come out to one of our events, say hello, and tell me what’s on their minds.”
