Dungeness bluff meeting set for August

The Coastal Watershed Institute and partners invite the community to a Dungeness nearshore workshop from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.

The workshop focuses on understanding and protecting the habitat-forming processes of the Dungeness bluff and spit system and the important linkages of area shorelines to the nearshore of inland marine waters of the Salish Sea.

Participating organizations include the Coastal Watershed Institute and partners, including Clallam County, Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife, Natural Resources and Ecology, Earth Economics and the Surfrider Foundation.

The workshop is free but space is limited. For details or to register, contact Nicole Harris at 460-5092 or nicole.harris@coastalwatershedinstitute.org.
