Wishing you were somewhere exotic?

Learn how to explore the world with the North Olympic Library System and Susan Parr of Susan Parr Travel at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

Parr will share insider tips and tricks to ensure a smooth travel experience while on your next adventure.

Parr says she was bitten by the travel bug while still in high school. All it took was being chosen by the local Rotary Club to be an exchange student to Australia: within a year after returning, she began working for the travel industry. Ten years later, she opened Susan Parr Travel.

When she isn’t helping customers plan their dream vacations or trotting the globe herself, Parr spends time working on her small farm with her four dogs.

This program kicks off the Explore! series at the Sequim Branch Library. The Explore! program offers an introduction to a range of activities available on the Olympic Peninsula and beyond.

From travel and rhythm to DIY bike maintenance and nature photography, this program series aims to inspire, educate and help you take the first step toward your next adventure, program organizers say.

This program is supported by the Friends of Sequim Library. For more information about this and other upcoming events, see www.nols.org and select “Events” and “Sequim,” or call 683-1161.
