Holy week begins at Trinity United

A procession of people carrying palm branches into the sanctuary will begin the Palm Sunday service, March 29, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

Holy Week will continue at Trinity with a Maundy Thursday service at 6:45 p.m. April 2, including communion and a short drama, “A Vigil of Remembrance.” A soup supper will precede the service at 6 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, the service at 10 a.m. will feature music by the Trinity Singers and the Handbell Choir, in addition to the Easter message by the Rev. Bill Green. A light brunch will be available from 9-9:45 a.m. after the service.

 

Dana Casey to speak

The Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship speaker for Sunday, March 29, will be Dana Casey. She will present at 10:30 a.m. in a celebration of the Spring Equinox. The fellowship hall is at 73 Howe Road, Agnew.

Casey is a retired kindergarten and pre-kindergarten teacher. She also has been a substitute teacher and was a former reporter for the Sequim Gazette. She and her husband, James, are both are longtime members of Unitarian Universalist Fellowships.
