Firefighters responded late Wednesday morning to a greenhouse fire northwest of Sequim.

Clallam County Fire District 3 crews arrived around 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 to the 100 block of Ware Court off Heath Road to find the approximately 30-feet-by-20-feet greenhouse ablaze in the northwest corner of a home’s property.

Assistant Fire Chief Dan Orr said firefighters contained the fire mostly to one half of the greenhouse and a nearby fence. No other structures were damaged.

No injuries were reported.

Orr said he did not have a cost estimate of the damage from the scene but said the structure was insured and its cause is under investigation.

There was no electricity in the half that caught on fire, he said.
