General Election ballots due by Nov. 5

Voting in Washington state’s 2019 General Election is now underway as ballots were mailed last week to all registered Clallam County voters.

Voters can register or update their voter record until Election Night (Tuesday, Nov. 5) at 8 p.m. in person at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, to participate in the election.

Those needing a replacement ballot may securely access a printable ballot via the website at www.votewa.gov, or obtain one by contacting Clallam County Elections directly at 360-417-2221 or elections@co.clallam.wa.us.

Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 5 or returned to a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. that day.

Ballot drop off options include 24-hour drive-up ballot drop boxes:

• Sequim Village Shopping Center near JCPenney

• Sunny Farms County Store in Carlsborg (adjacent to Mill Road)

• Clallam County Courthouse in Port Angeles

• PUD in Sekiu just off US Highway 101

• Clallam Bay Library in Clallam Bay

• Forks City Hall

• Washburn’s General Store in Neah Bay

An accessible voting unit is also available at the Auditor’s Office to assist voters with disabilities in voting independently. Regular business hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with extended Election Day hours of 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Printed statewide voters’ pamphlets featuring local candidate races and measures were mailed to all Clallam County residences earlier this month.
