Historical Society event features McLaughlin sisters’ doll clothing

A new exhibit at the Museum at the Carnegie (207 S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles) features four cases filled with memorabilia about the pioneer McLaughlin family including doll clothing made for the McLaughlin sisters by their mother Jane.

A new exhibit at the Museum at the Carnegie (207 S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles) features four cases filled with memorabilia about the pioneer McLaughlin family including doll clothing made for the McLaughlin sisters by their mother Jane.

The museum is open 1-4 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday.

Oscar and Emily McLaughlin came to Port Angeles with the Puget Sound Cooperative Colony in 1888. This collection recently was donated to the Clallam County Historical Society.

Visitors to the museum have the opportunity to meet the sisters from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, when they share stories and talk more about this collection.
