After 43 years in business, the owners of Fred’s Hobbies & Guns, 349-A W. Washington St., are closing up shop.

Husband and wife Fred Minker and Linda Phillips began their closing sale on Nov. 10 with discounts on everything.

The store will remain open until everything, including furnishings, is sold.

Phillips said they’ve been at their location about 30 years after moving from the Sequim Village Shopping Center.

Minker said his wife has operated the store the past 20 years since he’s served as the executive director of the Tribal Gaming Agency at 7 Cedars Casino.

He tentatively plans to fully retire in the next year-and-a-half.
