Sequim Indivisible organized two “pop-up” rallies in downtown Sequim on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 10 and Jan. 11, as part of ICE Out for Good, nationwide coordinated demonstrations to protest of the killing last week in Minneapolis, Minnesota of 37-year-old Renee Good by an ICE agent.
The mother of three was killed after U.S. ICE agent Jonathan Ross fired three shots into her vehicle.
According to a spokesperson for Sequim Indivisible, each protest in Sequim drew between 400-500 participants.
The killing of Good was protested in Port Angeles as well, she said.
According to Fox13, ICE Out for Good protests in Seattle and across western Washington drew thousands of participants, including an estimated 6,500 people at Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park.
