Milestone: Diamond Point Airport Appreciation Day celebrates 50th anniversary

On Saturday, Aug. 8, volunteer firefighters from Diamond Point Fire Station 35 staffed an first aid station in support of Diamond Point Airport Appreciation Day — 50th Anniversary.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, volunteer firefighters from Diamond Point Fire Station 35 staffed an first aid station in support of Diamond Point Airport Appreciation Day — 50th Anniversary.

Festivities throughout the day included a great display of aircraft, cars and plane rides. Volunteers for Clallam County Fire District 3 truly believe in supporting the community they serve by participating in events like Airport Appreciation Day. More than 200 people attended the 50th anniversary.

Becoming a volunteer firefighter is a big commitment, but the rewards for helping your community and your neighbors are even greater.
