NHRC is a tax-deductible 501(c)3 nonprofit that combines gentle Native American-style horsemanship with Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) riding instruction, to serve people of all ages and abilities.
“Therapeutic riding works miracles for children, adults, veterans and others with special needs, and also for horse-crazy kids and seniors who have horses on their bucket list,” said Martha Ireland, new president of the board of directors.
“We offer private and group lessons by appointment and will host a special event each month, beginning April 25,” Ireland said.
“Right now we also are looking to re-home two horses and two small ponies.”
