Bruce Jay Breitbach
A celebration of life memorial service for Port Angeles resident Bruce Jay Breitbach will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Road, Port Angeles.
Mr. Breitbach died Sept. 5, 2008, at the age of 54 from cancer.
Linde Family Funeral Services in Sequim was in charge of arrangements.
John Eugene Davis
A service has been held for Port Angeles resident John Eugene Davis, who died Aug. 28, 2008, at the age of 48 of cancer.
He was born June 14, 1960, in Pasco, to Ralph James and Shirley Lou Jennings Davis.
He served in the United States Army.
Mr. Davis was a cashier for 20 years. He also worked in roofing and was a professional clown. He loved to go camping at Salt Creek, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and barbecues with his family and friends.
He is survived by his companion of 20 years Melody Megonigle of Port Angeles; son John Eugene Merrill Davis Jr. of Port Angeles; daughters Crystal Lynn Davis of Port Angeles and Shannon Marie Campbell of Port Angeles; brothers Jim Davis and Jack Davis both of Tri Cities; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
Memorial gifts to help defray Davis family medical expenses may be made at any branch of Kitsap Bank.

George Andrew Nilson
A celebration of life has been held for Port Angeles/Dunedin, Fla., resident George Andrew Nilson, who died Sept. 1, 2008, at the age of 81.
He was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Warren, Ohio, to Andrew Lidel and Charlotte Hyde Nilson.
He married Cynthia Reynolds on Nov. 3, 1954, in Carlsbad, N.M.
He graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and attended Southern Methodist University Law School for a year.
He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1948.
Mr. Nilson worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New Jersey and for Abbott Laboratories in Chicago, Ill.
He later worked for Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.
A lifetime member of YMCA and a hospice volunteer, he worked more than 1,200 hours as a volunteer for the Olympic National Park.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Klahhane Hiking Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Reynolds Nilson of Port Angeles; daughters and sons-in-law Jan and Frank Ficarotta of Marietta, Ga., Ellen and Tom Beal of Neuman, Ga., and Roxie Nilson and her husband, Doug, of Heath, Texas; mother-in-law Jean MacDonald Reynolds; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Roxie Nilson Hudson and Jan Nilson Sanford.

Jane Ellen Irwin
A memorial service has been held for Port Angeles resident Jane Ellen Irwin, who died Sept. 9, 2008, at the age of 64 of heart failure.
She was born Oct. 3, 1943, in San Francisco, Calif., to James Leonard Holt and Mary May and raised by Mary May and Benjamin Davis.
She married Steven Randall in 1961. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She married Donald Irwin in 1973 in Port Angeles. He preceded her in death in 1993.
A caregiver for more than 20 years in Port Angeles and Sequim, she also worked as a waitress at Berny’s Restaurant in Port Angeles from 1967-1972. She was the weather advisor for all of Southeast Alaska from 1974-1978. For 15 years, she sewed all the clothes for her four children.
She was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her son Anthony Martin Randall of Port Angeles; daughters and sons-in-law Theresa and Bruce Robinson of Port Angeles, Erin and Randall Borgeman of Kodiak, Alaska, and Heidi and Jim Loran of Port Angeles; mother Mary May Davis of Port Angeles; brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard and Barbara Davis, Jeff and Charlene Davis, and Bruce and Sherry Davis; sisters Jacquelyn Gail Burger, Benita Davis, Deloris Davis, and Leanna Colleen Janssen; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Michelle Callahan Liskh
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Sequim resident Michelle Callahan Liskh, who died Sept. 8, 2008, at the age of 70 of pancreatic cancer.
She was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to William T. Callahan and Elisabeth J. Sachse.
Raised in Brooklyn and Long Island, N.Y., she moved to Chicago, Ill., and lived in Sequim for the past three years.
She married Joseph Liskh on July 7, 1982, in Chicago.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Sequim.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Liskh of Chicago; sisters and brother-in-law Judith Meaney of Glen Head, N.Y.; Marilyn Callahan of Sequim; and Geri and Mike Davis of Bayville, N.J.; adopted father Alfred Sachse of Tom’s River, N.J.; and numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

Mamie ‘Marlene’ Forderer
A service has been held for Carlsborg/Sequim resident Mamie "Marlene" Forderer, who died Sept. 10, 2008, at the age of 61 of cancer.
She was born June 24, 1947, to Charles and Bernice Culdice Holman, the youngest of 13 children.
She married Al Forderer in 1978 in Auburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Forderer lived in Sequim for 19 years where they owned and operated their own business before retiring in 2006.
She loved fishing, camping, cooking and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Al Forderer of Sequim; son and daughter-in-law Lee and Alicia Forderer of Sequim; stepson and daughter-in-law Darrin and Dee Forderer of Bonney Lake; stepdaughter Julie Kremor of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by sisters Mary and Dorothy and brother Al Holman.
