OCS students gain financial literacy

On May 3, Olympic Christian School and Sound Community Bank hosted a graduation ceremony honoring the students who achieved certification in financial literacy after completing the Sound Community Bank Financial Scholars Program. The program is an innovative, web-based program that uses the latest in digital learning and gaming to educate students on critical financial topics such as financing higher education, savings, investing, credit cards and interest rates, consumer fraud, taxes and insurance, and other topics. Kari Osterberg, Sound Community Bank branch manger, awarded the students with certificates and spoke to them about the importance of being thoughtful with their money management. The free program was made possible by a  grant from Sound Community Bank. Submitted photo
