Peninsula College observes the school’s 48th commencement ceremony beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in the college gymnasium, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. A reception follows.

The commencement speaker is Washington State Supreme Court Justice Susan Owens. The title of her address is "Why Bother?"

The student speaker is Tori Lucier-Miller, speaking about "Standing Outside the Fire."

This year, more than 390 degrees and certificates are to be awarded. The graduates’ processional and recessional is by the Kenmore Pipe Band.
