From kindergarten to fifth grade, from “The Cat in the Hat” to “The Lorax,” books were everywhere for Read Across America Day on March 2.

Students from Sequim High School and Helen Haller Elementary School partnered to read together for the National Education Association’s annual event celebrating Dr. Seuss’ (Theodor Seuss Geisel) 112th birthday.

Students shared all types of book, from classics to new releases to graphic novels.

Sequim schools have partnered a number of years for the event, which began nationwide on March 2, 1998.
