Sanctuary group sets meeting

NOAA’s Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary will host a meeting of the Sanctuary Advisory Council from 9:50 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, in the Quileute Tribal Administration Office West Wing, La Push.

 

The agenda includes a presentation on the Lake Ozette sockeye recovery plan and implementation, final reports and recommendations from the Ocean Acidification Working Group and Youth Seat Subcommittee, an overview of ongoing work by Quileute Department of Natural Resources, a briefing on wilderness marine debris efforts, and a background and update on the sanctuary’s research and monitoring vessel.

 

The meeting is open to the public.
