News reports about high levels of lead in drinking water in Flint, Mich., and most recently in some school buildings within the Tacoma Public Schools, have brought up concerns about the safety of drinking water in schools.

“Safety of our students and staff is paramount,” Sequim schools superintendent Gary Neal said. “For this reason, we have taken steps to initiate water testing in our facilities and will keep our parents and the public informed of the test results.”
