St. Luke’s Episcopal Church hosts violist Lilias Green and pianist Dorothea Hover-Kramer in concert as part of Music Live with Lunch at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. Admission, $10, includes both concert and lunch. Call the church, 683-4862, for tickets 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday or 9 a.m.-noon Friday.

The program includes the Andante and Allegro from “Gamba Sonata No. 1 in G Major” by J. S. Bach, ”Morpheus” for viola and piano by Rebecca Clarke, and three excerpts from “Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokoviev, arranged for viola and piano by Vadim Borisovsky.

Green is principal violist with the Port Angeles Symphony and teaches viola and violin.

She was a member of symphony and chamber orchestras in the U.S. and Europe, including the American Symphony Orchestra, the Bach Orchestra, the Pergolesi Chamber Orchestra, the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Berkeley Symphony and the Bay Area Women’s Philharmonic.

While living in Italy she created sound tracks and wrote for state broadcasting and cinema. Green attended the Juilliard and Manhattan schools of music and Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany.

Hover-Kramer is a dedicated chamber music player who performed with string ensembles in San Diego, Calif., and Ashland, Ore., before moving to the Olympic Peninsula two years ago.

By vocation she is a psychotherapist, author, seminar leader and director of behavioral health consultants. She is active in the community as board member and chairman of the WOW! wellness program of the Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic. She also serves on the board of the North Olympic Land Trust.

Music Live with Lunch is a concert series held on the third Tuesday of each month through May. Concerts start at noon with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall. 

A portion of all funds collected goes to Sequim area charities.
