Visitor bureau names 2 to board of directors

The Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau recently named Linda Barnfather and Duncan Allinson as new members to its board of directors.

Barnfather resides in Sequim and works as legislative assistant for Rep. Kevin Van De Wege. She also is a member of the Clallam Economic Development Council and an amateur photographer.

Allinson, general manager for Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort and Hurricane Ridge for Aramark Properties, moved here from Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he worked in the resort/hospitality industry. Both new board members enjoy outdoor recreation in the area and are eager to help promote the area to visitors.

“The board is looking forward to the expertise, insights and special interests that our new board members bring,” said Diane Schostak, the bureau’s executive director.

Schostak added that the board has two more board positions open — a bed-and-breakfast and a nonlodging position. The terms are for three years.
