An arrest warrant has been issued for Mario Wayne Hackney for attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. Hackney is suspected of assault with a firearm in the area of U.S. Highway 101 and Cameron Road, west of Port Angeles, around 11 a.m. Sept. 20.

He left the area on foot wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He is believed to be armed with a shotgun and is considered very dangerous. He is described as a 45-year-old white male, 5 feet 9 inches, with blue eyes and brown hair. Hackney has tattoos on both arms.
