Work scheduled for Olympic National Park roads

Road crews began work to remove dirt and debris from drainage ditches along park roads today. Roads will remain open throughout the work, but some traffic delays are anticipated.

Road crews began work to remove dirt and debris from drainage ditches along park roads today. Roads will remain open throughout the work, but some traffic delays are anticipated.

The maintenance work will improve road drainage and provide safer conditions for motorists.

Sol Duc Road: Motorists may encounter northbound delays of up to 15 minutes from Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

Whiskey Bend Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 60 minutes on Oct. 2.

Deer Park Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 30 minutes from Oct. 7 – 8.

Hurricane Ridge Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 15 minutes Oct. 9 – 10.

Motorists are advised to slow down, be alert for construction equipment and workers, and use extreme caution when passing mobile work zones.
