Yoga, meditation on tap for WOW! forum

Cheryl Bell presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum entitled “Yoga & Meditation – It’s not what you think!” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim.

Join Bell to share her discoveries about the ways yoga and meditation can awaken and enrich everyday experiences. She is a registered yoga instructor, certified personal trainer and owner of Lapis Sky Yoga in Sequim.

Bell said she believes that yoga is a practice which can “meet each individual where they are” and she sees her training in yoga and meditation as a lifelong journey and a meaningful way to be of service to others.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic—Sequim’s free clinic. The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members.

Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 5 p.m.
