Sharon Louise Brazier

Sharon Louise Brazier of Sequim died of age-related causes on Aug. 27, 2019, at Sherwood Assisted Living at age 78.

She was born Jan. 28, 1941.

Larry Dean Smith

November 2, 1945 – April 29, 2019

Larry Dean Smith was born to McCoy K. and Nancy Jarmuth Smith, in Mount Vernon, November 2, 1945. He passed away with family by his side, in Arizona, April 29, 2019, two weeks after being diagnosed with myosarcoma.

Larry grew up and went to school in Sequim. He entered the military service and married Sandi Danforth, in 1963. Larry and Sandi had three boys who all earned engineering degrees from Arizona State University.

After leaving the military, Larry and family returned for a short time to Port Angeles where he attended Peninsula College. He and the family moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1968, and was hired by Western Airlines. He worked for the company while in Arizona.

He married Linda K. Stewart and was transferred to Salt Lake City. He continued to work for Western and then subsequently for Delta Airlines after their merger. He did a variety of jobs including Ramp Manager, Commissary Manager and Red Coat customer service for the million mile clientele. Larry retired from Delta shortly after 9/11. A year later, they moved to Bisbee, Arizona, where he enjoyed his retirement.

Larry travelled worldwide over his years in the airline industry. His favorite place on earth was Yellowstone National Park, hiking the back country, fly fishing and photographing animals in the wild.

He loved the desert, travelling and competitive sports starting with baseball, compound bow, ping pong and tennis. He also was passionate about flying having his own ultralight for a number of years.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, McCoy in 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda; his three sons, Kevin Dean (Phoung) and Erick Daniel of Mesa, Arizona, and Christopher James (Kymberly) of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren, Nichole, Nathan, Baylee and Brendan; his stepdaughter, Julie; his ex-wife, Sandi Smith-Cassavaugh; his mother, Nancy Smith of Sequim; brother, Lance (Jeanie) of Port Angeles; sisters, Cheryl Frankfurth (Garland), Rochelle McHugh (Paul), Pam Walker (Don) all of Sequim, sister, Diane Pollard (Chris) of Woodinville; and multiple nieces and nephews.
