Golf: Wolves outshoot Bulldogs

Both the boys and girls golf teams appear to be hitting their stride.

Travis Priest and Jack Shea led the boys (2-2 in league) in a 176-184 victory over the North Mason Bulldogs on April 16 at the Lakeland Village Golf Course in Allyn.

They shared medal honors with the Bulldogs’ Josh Frederickson at 41 while Sequim’s Alex McCracken shot a 43, Jade Arnold a 51 and Josiah Carter a 54.

North Mason’s Eric Jones went for 47, Ethan Amundsen a 48 and Avery Flowers a 53.

Sequim boys hosted North Kitsap and Chimacum at The Cedars at Dungeness on Tuesday. They travel to the Tim Higgins Memorial Golf Tournament at Kitsap Golf Course on Thursday.

Alex McMenamin continues to shoot low for the Wolves going for 41 to lead all players followed by Brianna Kettel at 49, Sarah Shea and Sydney Balkan at 51. Megan Jackson shot a 53 for the Bulldogs followed by Rachel Johnson at 59.

The girls hosted Olympic on Monday and North Kitsap on Tuesday.
