Klahhane gymnasts score well at Kent meet

Klahhane Gymnastics participated in the Holiday Express Critique Meet hosted by Metropolitan Gymnastics in Kent, Dec. 10-12.

In the Silver Division Junior A age group, Harper Hilliker placed third in all-around scoring 35.50 points, while teammate Elyse Brown scored 36.0 in all-around scoring for fourth place in the Junior B age group.

Klahhane’s Neveah Thurman-Dupuis took fourth in the Senior A age group, scoring 35.60 points. Also competing in the Silver Division were Raynee Ciarlo, Gracelyn Goss, Saffron Tschida and Daylen Williams.

In Gold Division competition, Kira Hartman took second in the Junior B division’s uneven bars (9.175). The squad’s Gold Team brought home four medals in floor exercise: Mariah Traband, Junior A division (third, 9.15 points); Lauren Cline, Junior C division (second, 9.4; Lucy Spelker, Senior A division (second, 9.10), and Taylor Bugge, Senior A division (third, 9.05).

Jessamyn Schindler and Scarlett Sullivan competed in the Platinum Division and qualified for the state competition in April with all-around scores of 34.825 and 34.15 points, respectively. Also receiving state qualifying scores were Hilliker; Brown, and Thurmas-Dupius in the Silver Division, and Hartman, Cline, Spelker and Bugge in the Gold Division.
