Railroad Bridge 5k, 10k set for April 27

The Run the Peninsula series continues later this month with the Railroad Bridge 5k and 10k, set for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, with an out-and-back course along the Olympic Discovery Trail at the Dungeness River Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road.

Cost is $40 for either race, and registrations are due the day before the race (April 26). Save 10% by registering for multiple series races. The fee includes a race medal and a Run the Peninsula backpack.

Bib pick-ups are from 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Barhop Artisan Pizza, 845 W. The event is the second in the five-race Run the Peninsula series that kicked off with the Elwha River Bridge 5k/10k on Feb. 3.

Upcoming races include the North Olympic Discovery Marathon, half-marathon, kids marathon, marathon relay, 10k and 5k on June 1 and 2, the Spruce Railroad Run 5k/10k on Oct. 19 and the Jamestown S’Klallam 5k/10k on Dec. 7.
