Sequim martial artists place in Tacoma tournament

Three students with Sequim Martial Arts, 235 E Washington St., Sequim, competed at the Tacoma City Classic Karate Tournament on Sept. 30. Local participants included, from left, Welcome Chapman, who won first place in “Traditional Weapons,” Khloe Schmidt who won second place both in “Traditional Weapons” and “Traditional Empty Hand Forms,” and Landen Parrish who won first place in “Traditional Empty Hand Forms,” second place in “Traditional Weapons” and third place in “Creative Weapons.”
