Little League registration is open

Registration is open for the 2023 Sequim Little League season. Visit SequimLittleLeague.com to sign up for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons.

Registration will be open through Feb. 4.

For players in T-Ball through Prep, the cost is $85. For players in other divisions (Minors through Seniors), the cost is $100.

In-person registration and assessments will take place Saturday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Feb. 4.

Opening Day is set for Saturday, March 25.

Bernsten gets honor

Former Sequim High wrestling standout Petra Bernsten, now a freshman at Washington State University, was named the Cougars’ women’s wrestler of the meet at the Spokane Open & Big Bend Scramble on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.

She went 4-2, with each of her victories coming by pin.

Bernsten, competing in the 143-pound weight class, is 7-7 on the season (as of Dec. 8) for the WSU club wrestling squad.
