CADWGA names officers

The Cedars at Dungeness Women’s Golf Association (CADWGA) has named new officer for 2022 following their annual Days of Whine & Roses tourney in September.

Judy Reno was named captain, Linda Case is co-captain, Lynnette Sheriff is secretary and Anne Elwell is treasurer.

The women will continue to play on Tuesday mornings as long as the weather permits.

Salazar Painting takes soccer crown

With a win in the championship game on Nov. 7, Salazar Painting took home the 2021 Peninsula Soccer League title.

Salazar Painting got four goals from four different players and added an own-goal to top Windermere, 5-2. Edgar Aceves, Nick Allen, Raul Medina and Pablo Salazar each had scores, while Medina, Juan Carlos and Abisai Garcia had assists. Gabe Long and Evan Swenson had scores for Windermere.

Forks FC placed third, beating Bandidos FC 5-3 in the third place game. High Energy Metals was fifth, Strait Slice sixth, Pure Vida seventh and Pantry & Latch eighth.
