Anglers to meet

The Puget Sound Anglers’ North Olympic Peninsula Chapter host a meeting pen to the community on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road.

People start gathering at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. This month’s is Jesse Reeves, Area 6 Water Access Manager with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. He will discuss the properties that WDFW has acquired or that they are pursuing for freshwater and saltwater access.

The event includes a short business meeting, fishing reports and raffle drawings following his talk. Note: Raffles are for members only; join that night to participate. Annual membership is $25 and includes The Reel News monthly publication.

KONP to broadcast prep, college games

KONP Radio (1450 AM) will broadcast a number of Sequim and Port Angeles high school basketball games, as well as Peninsula College games, during their respective 2022-2023 seasons.

The station will also broadcast prep postseason games and other college games as the schedule allows, representatives said.

All games will be on 1450 AM and online at myclallamcounty.com.

Sequim games include: 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, SHS girls vs. Neah Bay; 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, SHS boys vs. Bremerton; 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, SHS girls vs. North Kitsap; 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, SHS boys vs. North Mason; 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, SHS girls vs. Anacortes; 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, SHS boys vs. Olympic; 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, SHS girls at Port Angeles; 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, SHS boys vs. North Kitsap; 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, SHS girls vs. North Mason; and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, SHS girls vs. Olympic.
