Sequim artist’s work on display at ‘4×4’ exhibit

Sequim artist David Owen Hastings is one of four artists featured at the “4×4: Art by Design” exhibit at Northwind Art Jeanette Best Gallery (701 Water St., Port Townsend) from June 9-Aug. 7.

Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m., Thursday through Monday. There will be an artist talk and meet-and-greet at 1 p.m.: Saturday, June 11.

“4×4: Art by Design” presents “complementary forms, shapes, colors, depths and intensities that radiate throughout each artist’s work,” organizers say. The exhibit focuses on abstract art in mediums including prints, quilts, ceramic vessels, digital painting and abstract wood sculpture.

Christian writers group to meet

Local writers are invited to join Olympic Peninsula Christian Writers on June 16. This month’s guest speaker, is Jennifer Lamont Leo, is a Christian novelist who lives in northern Idaho.

She will answer questions, share her writing process and how she collaborated with three other novelists to produce a book of four novellas. Her “Lumberjacks & Ladies” was published February 2022. See jenniferlamontleo.com/about-jennifer.
